Any shoe! Any style! Any size!
We are excited about our Spring Cleaning Used Shoe Drive that will continue through June 30.
Clean out your closets!
During the months of April through June, we will be conducting a community wide shoe drive to collect all types of used shoes. Our goal is to collect 50 thousand pairs of shoes that will be repurposed in countries like Haiti, creating jobs and providing shoes for their people. In addition, Shoes4Kids will receive funds to buy new shoes for our kids here in Central Florida.
The public is invited to participate in the Spring Cleaning Shoe Drive to benefit Shoes4Kids now through June 30, 2017
Shoes4Kids USA is conducting a Central Florida community-wide Spring Cleaning Shoe Drive now through June 30, 2017 to collect all types of used shoes. During the first portion of the shoe collection drive, Shoes4Kids USA has partnered with Vegetarians of Central Florida (Earth Day Host), Track Shack, and Legacy Life Church to be drop off locations. All donated shoes will be redistributed through micro-enterprise partners and used in developing nations for impoverished people to start, maintain and grow an enterprise to feed, clothe and house their families. Shoes4Kids USA then receives funds to buy new shoes for Central Florida children.
In the U.S. alone, approximately 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown away each year. By donating shoes to Shoes4Kids, you not only keep the shoes out of the landfill, but give them a second chance to make a difference.
“We are very excited to be conducting this shoe drive in Central Florida,” notes Tyrone McFarland, Executive Director of Shoes4Kids USA. This campaign will raise funds that directly benefit our community by allowing us to purchase new shoes for children in need right here at home. The additional advantages of diverting shoes from the waste stream and creating commerce and sustaining peoples’ lives make this a win-win for everyone,” said McFarland. Our goal is to collect 25,000 pairs of shoes and the only way we can do that is if people step up and help. I am calling on everyone in our community to gather up their unwanted shoes and bring them to either Track Shack at 1104 N. Mills Avenue or Legacy Life Church at 365 Rickenbacker Road in Orlando. Additionally, we will be at Central Florida’s 12th Annual Earth Day event at Lake Eola (east side) on Saturday, April 22nd.

Does this organization still collect shoes in 2019? If so, please list the dates and locations of any events for collecting shoes so residents at Central Florida may be able to contribute. Thank you.
